Resumo
The author describe a new species of nematode Strongyloidea belonging to the genus Diaphanocephalus Diesing, 1851, found hosting the small intestine of a lizard from Amazon region (Dracaena guianensis Dandin). The new species differs from D. diesingi Freitas & Lent 1938 by the total and relative size of the spicules; size and form of the gubernaculum; form of the buccal capsule, and others characters.
