Resumo
The genus Poraqueiba (Icacinaceae) is represented in the Amazonian region by the sécies: P. sericea, P. paraensis and P. guianensis. The two first, furnish the edible fruits known by the vernacular names "mari" or "umari". In this paper those species were described more completly, with a key and illustrations, as well as the distribution and a list of collectors, are given.
