Descrição
Atractus potschi is a small Brazilian endemic snake. Its distribution is restricted to Brazil´s Northeastern Atlantic Rain Forest and Caatinga biomes, in the States of Alagoas, Bahia, and Sergipe. Herein, we expanded its distribution in hinterlands by 270 km from the nearest previous record. This is also a new occurrence on the left bank of the São Francisco River.
Resumo
Atractus potschi é uma pequena serpente endêmica do Brasil. Sua distribuição se restringe aos biomas da Mata Atlântica e da Caatinga do Nordeste brasileiro, nos estados de Alagoas, Bahia e Sergipe. Neste estudo, expandimos sua distribuição para o interior em 270 km a partir do registro anterior mais próximo. Esta é também uma nova ocorrência na margem esquerda do rio São Francisco.
