O artigo analisa as dinâmicas sociopolíticas e territoriais entre os tenetehar-tembés no nordeste paraense, a partir da atuação do Serviço de Proteção aos Índios. Diante da presença tutelar, com a criação da reserva e demais interdições nessa região, os indígenas desenvolveram estratégias e formas de agenciamento do território e modus vivendi que assinalam importantes contextos de r existência no século XX.
Resumo
The article analyzes the sociopolitical and territorial dynamics between the Tenetehar-Tembés in the northeast of Pará state, based on the actions of the Serviço de Proteção aos Índios (Indian Protection Service). In view of the tutelary presence, with the creation of the reserve and other interdictions in this region, the indigenous people developed strategies and forms of agency for the territory and modus vivendi that mark important contexts of r-existence in the 20th century.
