O léxico de parentesco é um caminho para se conhecer aspectos sociais de um grupo. O objetivo do trabalho é fazer um levantamento dos vocábulos de parentesco tupi e analisá-lo sob a luz da metodologia de Florestan Fernandes (1963), que acredita serem os vocábulos de parentesco um caminho para se atingir as instituições sociais e as condutas dos indivíduos em uma dada sociedade. Este pesquisador segue Morgan, que é pioneiro neste campo de estudos. A metodologia utilizada será a comparação entre fontes dos séculos XVI e XVIII, buscando comprovar a hipótese de que o casamento cristão, que é uma mudança social, entre os indígenas, se refletiu em seu léxico. Organização Social dos Tupinambá (1963), e dicionários jesuíticos do século XVIII são o material utilizado. A comparação entre as obras buscará quais as permanências e as mudanças, contextualizando a evangelização cristã nos resultados.
Resumo
The kinship lexicon is a way to know social aspects of a group. The objective of this work is to make a survey of Tupi kinship vocabulary and analyze it under the light of the methodology of Florestan Fernandes (1963), who believes that kinship vocabulary is a way to reach social institutions and the behavior of individuals in a given society. This researcher follows Morgan, who is a pioneer in this field of studies. The methodology used will be the comparison between 16th and 18th century sources, seeking to prove the hypothesis that Christian marriage, which is a social change, among the indigenous people, was reflected in their lexicon. Social Organization of the Tupinambá (1963), and Jesuit dictionaries from the 18th century are the material used. The comparison between the works will seek what permanences and changes, contextualizing Christian evangelization in the results.
