Derby sobre sua visita realizada em 1871 à ilha de Marajó, subindo o Rio Arary até sua nascente num lago de mesmo nome afim de examinar o monte artificial dos índios, conhecido por Ilha de Pacoval tornando a estudar em 1876 até as cabeceiras do Anajás até seu tributário, o Camutins.

Deposition of Orville A. Derby on his visit in 1871 to the island of Marajó, going up the Arary River to its source in a lake of the same name in order to examine the artificial hill of the Indians, known as the Island of Pacoval. Headlands of the Anajás until its tributary, the Camutins.
