Biogeografia e filogeografia comparada do complexo Micrastur ruficollis (Aves, Falconidae)

Abstract

This dissertation has two general objectives: (a) investigate the comparative phylogeography of three species of the complex Micrastur ruficollis (M. ruficollis, gilvicollis M. and M. mintoni), which occur in the Amazon basin, in order to identify the contexts temporal and spatial diversification of the group in the biome; and (b) re-evaluate based on molecular characters taxonomic status and interspecific boundaries between taxa of the complex. For the best presentation of the dissertation, the objectives will be covered in the article "A systematic review and biogeography of the complex M. ruficollis (Falconidae Birds)" the complex ruficollis Micrastur species is of special interest to phylogeography studies in the Amazon basin, it meets basic requirements the existence of polytypic species and widely distributed in the Amazon basin. Therefore, it has been of interest to those trying to understand the history of diversification of this region. Here we use phylogenetic analysis, biogeographical and time estimates of diversification of this group to try to reveal a special setting and diversification of time in the Amazon and provide new evidence about the importance of these historical processes in the formation of the biome.
