dc.description.abstractThe essential oils of leaves, branches and fruits (ripe and green) of Nectandra cuspidata Nees (Lauraceae) were obtained by hydrodistillation, and analyzed by gas phase chromatography coupled to mass spectrometry (GC/MS). The highest yield of essential oils was obtained from green (1.24%) and ripe (1.56%) fruits. The sesquiterpene hydrocarbons were predominant in the essential oils of the leaves, such as γ-elemeno (18.94%), δ-elemeno (10.63%), (E)-caryophyllene (13.68%), germacrene D (9.13%), and bicyclogermacreno (13.34%). The branches were characterized by high levels of oxygenated sesquiterpenes, with a predominance of an unidentified substance of MM=234 (24%). Fruit oils (green and ripe) showed δ-elemene (9.53% and 7.08%), γ-elemene (6.26% and 5.84%), (E)-caryophylene (7.33% and 6.66%), bicyclogermacrene (7.0% and 6.53), and (E)-nerolidol (6.19% and 7.0%), respectively.pt_BR

O maior rendimento de óleos essenciais foi obtido a partir dos frutos verde (1,24%) e maduro (1,56%). Os sesquiterpenos hidrocarbonetos foram predominantes nos óleos essenciais das folhas, tais como γ-elemeno (18,94%), δ-elemeno (10,63%), (E)-cariofileno (13,68%), germacreno D (9,13%) e biciclogermacreno (13,34%).
