Este artigo discutirá a relação entre os conhecimentos das populações tradicionais amazônicas à luz do debate de reconhecimento e identidades, através do diálogo com Charles Taylor. Verificou-se que o status de conhecimento tradicional ao conhecimento oriundo de populações tradicionais é uma forma de inferiorizar seu sistema cognitivo, fazendo com que a justiça social não seja efetivada. Há a necessidade de políticas de reconhecimento desses saberes, de modo a tirá-los do caráter de subalternizados pelos sistemas hegemônicos oficiais.
Resumo
This article will discuss the relationship between the knowledge of traditional amazonian populations in the light of the debate of recognition and identities through dialogue with charles taylor. It has been found that the status of traditional knowledge to knowledge coming from traditional populations is a way of lowering their cognitive system, causing real social justice is not realized. There is a need for policies to recognize these knowledges, in order to remove them from the character of subalternized by official hegemonic systems.
