| metadata.dc.description.resumo: | O documento apresenta um pouco da trajetória da primeira mulher a fazer parte de uma instituição de pesquisa no Brasil: a alemã Emília Snethlage (1868-1929), uma mulher que iniciou a pesquisa sobre as aves na região amazônica. Inicialmente, são destacadas algumas questões sobre a vida e a obra desta cientista, assim como aspectos gerais concernentes à história da ciência e aos estudos de gênero. Por fim, apresenta-se uma reprodução revisada e atualizada de um artigo de jornal de Osvaldo Rodrigues da Cunha (1928-2011), publicado em 15 de novembro de 1985, o qual também representa uma figura importante para o Museu Paraense Emílio Goeldi. |
| Abstract: | The document presents a portion of the trajectory of the first woman to be part of a Brazilian research institution. Emilia Snethlage (1868-1929) was a German-born woman who began to study the birds of the Amazon region. We initially point out questions about the life and work of this scientist, as well as general aspects of the history of science and gender studies. We also present a revised and updated reproduction of a newspaper article published on November 15, 1985 by Osvaldo Rodrigues da Cunha (1928–2011), who was also an important researcher at for the Museu Paraense Emílio Goeldi. |
