| metadata.dc.description.resumo: | Elaborado com vistas à consolidação das atividades de Comunicação Social do MPEG, o Ciência e Sociedade: Comunicação e Educação para a Preservação Ambiental e Cultural na Amazônia Oriental Brasileira representa o esforço de sistematizar e refletir sobre o Goeldi como instituição produtora de conhecimento científico, e atuante no campo da comunicação, educação e extensão nos últimos 20 anos. A sua principal meta é estimular o interesse da sociedade por temas científicos ao tempo em que promove a interação Ciência e Sociedade. Promover os valores de preservação ambiental e cultural a partir dos resultados das pesquisas científicas é outra das metas dessa iniciativa. Ao mesmo tempo em que identifica temas de pesquisa com vistas à divulgação de resultados junto aos diversos públicos do MPEG – do ensino fundamental à pós-graduação, o projeto gera conhecimento e forma recursos humanos na área para que gerações futuras possam também usufruir dos conhecimentos gerados sobre a Amazônia |
| Abstract: | Prepared with a view to consolidating MPEG's Social Communication activities, the Science and Society: Communication and Education for Environmental and Cultural Preservation in Eastern Brazilian Amazon represents the effort to systematize and reflect on Goeldi as institution producing scientific knowledge, and active in the field of communication, education and extension in the last 20 years. Its main goal is to stimulate society's interest in themes at the same time that it promotes the interaction between Science and Society. Promote the values of environmental and cultural preservation based on the results of scientific research is another of the goals of this initiative. At the same time that it identifies research themes with a view to the dissemination of results with the various audiences of MPEG - from elementary school to graduate, the project generates knowledge and trains human resources in the area so that future generations can also enjoy the knowledge generated about the Amazon |
