Abstract: | The genus Gleasonia (Rubiaceae) was created by STANDLEY based on a material collected by TATE at the summít of Mount Duida, on amazonian Venezuela. Later DUCKE described two more species (G. uaupensis and G.(macrocalyx) both from the upper Rio Negro, Amazonas, Brazil. Recently the auetor found a fourth species at the southern part of the Amazon basin, on sandstone floors near the Erereí creek, affluent of the Cururú River, a tributary of the upper Tapajós. |
