Resumen : | Fruits have been considered an important feeding resource used not only by frugivorous birds, but for many generalists species. This work aimed the evaluation of the consuming of Miconia ciliata (Rich.) DC fruits by birds in GUNMA Ecological Park. Ten expeditions were carried in the period from March to December of 2007. The birds were captured in mist net with a sampling effort of 6400 HR (hours x collectors) and their feces and/or regurgitates were analyzed. Were recorded 16 species of birds that feed Miconia ciliata fruits, the majority is of the Passeriformes Order, which can be associated with the sampling method. That are opportunistic in the purchase of food, and supplemented their diet with the consumption of sources of animal origin. |
