Abstract

The Neotropical fauna of butterflies of the family Riodinidae includes 1324 species, but few have been the subject of biological or zoogeographic studies. The high species richness recorded in the study area leads to the conclusion that the Riodinidae butterflies of the Amazon could be effectively preserved in small and medium-sized biological reserves.
