| metadata.dc.description.resumo: | Os ecossistemas de várzea fazem parte das áreas de florestas inundáveis da Amazônia, as quais correspondem de 5-10% de toda a Bacia Amazônica. As várzeas são áreas de florestas que permanecem inundadas periodicamente e, portanto, possuem solos ricos devido ao contínuo depósito de sedimentos dos rios juntamente com outros fatores ambientais, o que faz com que surja um grande número de espécies adaptadas a este tipo de ecossistema. Neste trabalho evidencia-se o potencial econômico de espécies que ocorreram nos inventários florísticos realizados na Ilha de Marajó, especificamente no município de Afuá. |
| Abstract: | The várzea ecosystems are part of the Amazonian floodable forest areas, which correspond to 5-10% of the entire Amazon Basin. The várzeas are forest areas that remain flooded periodically and therefore have rich soils due to the continuous deposition of river sediments along with other environmental factors, which gives rise to a large number of species adapted to this type of ecosystem. This paper highlights the economic potential of species that occurred in the floristic inventories conducted on Marajó Island, specifically in the municipality of Afuá. |
